Course Description
This Course aims to introduce participants to the safe resumption of clinical lab services in the wake of SARS-CoV-2 by implementing Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

Course Objectives
To understand how clinical lab services might be resumed and provided most safely, given the risk of viral infections.
Target Audience
Lab technicians, clinical embryologists, and lab managers wishing to learn about the safe provision of clinical lab services under the threat of infectious diseases.
Educational needs and expected outcomes
This Course aims to discuss
- the practical implementation of GLP in the lab procedures when faced
- the safe handling and storage of reproductive tissues from patients
given the risk of viral infections.
Participants will gain an improved understanding of the risks and reduction of viral transmission between staff, patients, and their reproductive gametes, embryos, and tissues.
Required prior knowledge for participation in the Course
Participants must have experience of working in an Andrology and/or IVF Laboratory.

Lectures, discussions, breakout sessions in micro-groups for discussion and exercises
Minimal technology requirements for participation
The participant must have adequate Wi-Fi connection via laptop or PC (NOT with a phone!), camera, and audio to engage during the Course. Courses will be run via the Zoom and Teams platforms.

Minimum 8 and a maximum of 12 participants

The official language of the course is English.
Certificate of attendance
Participants can obtain a certificate of attendance after completing the Course evaluation at the end of the Course.
