Balsam is a highly accomplished professional in the field of clinical embryology. She is a registered clinical scientist, recognized by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and holds the esteemed title of a certified senior embryologist, accredited by the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS). Her academic journey led her to earn a Master’s degree in clinical embryology from the University of Leads.

Currently, Balsam Al Hashimi serves as the Deputy Laboratory Manager and Lead Embryologist in Genetics at the renowned London Women’s Clinic (LWC), where her expertise and dedication play a pivotal role in advancing the field of reproductive science.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Balsam also serves as an Officer Trainer for the Scientist Training Program (STP) in collaboration with the Association of Clinical Embryologists (ACE). Her commitment to education and professional development is evident in her role as a mentor and trainer for aspiring scientists. Presently, Balsam is enrolled as a doctoral candidate at the University of Kent, actively pursuing her Ph.D. studies.
