We are excited to announce that our parent company, CooperSurgical, has acquired Research Instruments Limited of Cornwall, United Kingdom, a leading manufacturer and distributor of equipment, management systems (RI Witness System™), lasers and micropipettes for the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) market. Research Instruments’ line of high quality products developed specifically for micromanipulation and management of the IVF processes will be integrated into CooperSurgical’s world leading ART division ORIGIO.

ORIGIO’s already comprehensive industry leading ART product line will be enhanced by Research Instruments’ strong product offering. Along with CooperSurgical’s recent acquisition of Reprogenetics, the largest genetics laboratory specializing in preimplantation genetic screening and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, the company can offer a total solutions portfolio to the ART market.

“Research Instruments’ strong line of products for micromanipulation and management of processes is a perfect fit with our ORIGIO offering, enhancing ORIGIO’s mission to provide world-class solutions for ART professionals,” said David T. Hansen, President and Managing Director of ORIGIO.

Meeting customer needs with a full portfolio of high-quality products to manage and improve ART outcomes is what we are striving for as a leader in this space,” added Hansen.
